Scale to Life
Food is balance. I personal
believe that balance is important in life, because as Americans we have many
things to do in our schedules. I have to balance many things during the day on
my plate, and sometimes it can be overwhelming. So the best way I deal with it
is by keeping me active in different activities, which takes my mind off of all
the things that I am not doing at the time.
This balance carries over
to my diet. I believe that eating a variety of foods help create a sound mind
and body. As a student- athlete, it is important to me that I make sure I am
eating healthy so that I can be fully attentive in the classroom, and perform on
the field. Meats, fruits, vegetables, and grains are all important to me,
although I give my favorite to meat because it helps the most in building
muscle. Also, in this balance I believe it is important to have three meals a
day with multiple snacks in between. Cramping my body with unhealthy foods and
soda drinks can ruin my health and my performance at taking on life. I believe
that the balance in eating carries over to the balance in
life.
I play football for the university, and it can get hectic at times
balancing football and my studies. I have a strategy that I believe will help me
in the long run, and that is to stay away from procrastination. Procrastination
is a disease that all humans suffer from at some point in our lives. It happens,
I mean we are only humans, and in today’s society it can be hard at points to
wrap our heads around everything that needs to finish daily, weekly, and even
monthly. So food, in my opinion, is much correlated with what you do throughout
your life, and it can affect you in a positive or negative way depending on what
habits you have.
